ABOUT EMILY GERTZ
I'm a freelance journalist and editor covering the environment, technology, and science. My work has appeared both online and in print, in Popular Mechanics, Scientific American, Whole Living, Dwell, Talking Point Memo, OnEarth Magazine, Grist, Worldchanging.com and more. I'm co-author of the O'Reilly book Environmental Monitoring with Ardunio, and have contributed to other books, too.
I've been online since 1989. In addition to journalism, I occasionally do consulting on digital content strategy, social media, and online community.
